As part of its ongoing economic transformation under Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia continues to refine its Premium Residency Program, offering clearer eligibility criteria, transparent pricing, and a simplified application process. The initiative aims to attract professionals, investors, and innovators seeking long-term residence and business opportunities in the Kingdom.
Introduced to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position as a global talent and investment hub, the Premium Residency Program allows qualified foreign nationals to live, work, and invest without the need for a local sponsor.
In 2025, the program was restructured into specialized categories, each designed to meet different professional and investment profiles — from high-level executives and entrepreneurs to researchers and property owners.
Applicants must generally hold a valid passport, provide proof of financial capability, maintain a clean record, and meet health requirements. Beyond these basic criteria, each residency type—such as investor, entrepreneur, or talent—includes additional conditions related to experience, investment value, or professional endorsement.
For example, the Special Talent Residency targets top professionals in leadership, healthcare, and research, while the Gifted Residency welcomes outstanding individuals in culture, sports, and the arts. Entrepreneurs and investors benefit from flexible pathways that support business development and job creation within the Kingdom.
The updated system also introduces a standardized, one-time application fee of SAR 4,000 for most categories.
However, the residency duration and requirements vary depending on the chosen product:
Applications are managed through the Saudi Premium Residency Center (SPRC) official platform.
Applicants select their preferred residency category, upload the necessary documentation (passport, financial statements, proof of investment or employment), and pay the required fees.
Once approved, holders receive a digital residency permit granting full legal rights to live, work, and invest in the Kingdom.
This update represents more than just administrative clarity — it underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to building a globally competitive environment that rewards talent, innovation, and contribution.
By simplifying the path to residency, the Kingdom continues to welcome individuals who can shape its future economy and cultural landscape.
