Discover Indonesia's latest immigration initiative - the Second Home Visa Program, recently launched by the Directorate General of Immigration, Ministry of Law and Human Rights. This policy, outlined in Circular Number IMI-0740.GR.01.01 of 2022, aims to attract foreign nationals and former Indonesian citizens (ex-WNI) to contribute to the nation's economy amidst evolving global economic landscapes.
Eligible applicants for the second home visa include foreign investors, global talents, senior travelers seeking retirement opportunities, and Indonesian Diaspora members keen on living and conducting business in Indonesia. With visa durations of 5 or 10 years, holders are empowered to engage in diverse activities, including investment endeavors.
Securing a second home visa is hassle-free, thanks to the online application platform available at visa-online.imigrasi.go.id. Applicants need to submit essential documents such as a valid passport, proof of sufficient funds (minimum Rp. 2,000,000,000.00), a recent passport-sized photograph, and a curriculum vitae.
The policy takes effect 60 days post-circular letter issuance, starting from December 24, 2022, enabling prospective applicants to plan their relocation or investment ventures accordingly.
As per Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 2 of 2022, applicants are required to pay a Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) rate of Rp. 3 million. Payment can be conveniently made through designated PNBP payment portals located outside Indonesia's territorial boundaries.
By simplifying the application process and offering extended visa durations, Indonesia's Second Home Visa Program stands as a promising avenue for international individuals seeking a new chapter in the vibrant landscape of Southeast Asia's largest economy.
