If you have a child born outside the Philippines during a temporary visit, you may need to apply for a non-quota immigrant visa for your child. Here's everything you need to know about the process.

This application is for children born abroad during the temporary visit of a Filipino immigrant mother.

Applications must be submitted at the Bureau of Immigration (BI) Main Office.


What You Need to Bring


Ensure you have the following documents ready:


1. A completed checklist with all required documents.

2. The Application Form.

3. Additional Information on Applicant’s Children (if required).


Step-by-Step Application Process


1. Secure the CGAF: Obtain the Consolidated General Application Form (CGAF) from the Public Information and Assistance Unit (PIAU) at the BI Main Office or download it from the official BI website.


2. Document Submission: Submit your documents for pre-screening at the Central Receiving Unit (CRU) or to a frontline officer at any Immigration Office authorized to process this type of application.


3. Obtain Payment Slip: After pre-screening, you'll receive an Order of Payment Slip (OPS).


4. Pay the Fees: Proceed to pay the required fees as indicated in the OPS.


5. Submit the Official Receipt: Provide a copy of your Official Receipt as proof of payment.


6. Attend the Hearing: Check your Official Receipt for the scheduled date and venue of your hearing, which includes Image and Fingerprint Capturing.


7. Image and Fingerprint Capturing: Visit the Alien Registration Division (ARD) for Image and Fingerprint Capturing. Submit all necessary requirements for the ACR I-Card application.


8. Check Visa Status: Monitor the BI website to see if your visa application has been approved.


9. Visa Implementation: Once approved, submit your passport for visa stamping.


10. ACR I-Card Collection: If your ACR I-Card is approved, collect it from the designated office.


Cost of Application


1. The total cost of the application is Php 7,870.00.

2. An additional fee for the ACR I-Card is US $50 for a 1-year card.
