Hong Kong Visa Checklist: Documents You Need

At Remoly, we can proceed with your visa solution only after a thorough review of the applicant's updated CV. This step is crucial as our visa team must evaluate whether the applicant qualifies as a professional under Hong Kong Immigration's guidelines.

To assist with the pre-screening process, please ensure the following required documents are provided:


Required Visa Documents for Pre-Screening


1. Updated Resume (CV):


   Include a detailed portfolio showcasing major clients the visa applicant has worked with.


2. Detailed Job Description:


   Clearly outline the specific skillset of the applicant and emphasize why their role cannot be filled by local staff in Hong Kong.


3. Scanned Copy of Passport or Entry Permit & HKID (if available):


   Include the latest travel details for identification.


4. Employment Reference:


   Provide a letter stating the last employment date and position title, printed on the company letterhead.


5. Academic Credentials:


   Include copies of the degree and/or master’s certificates.


6. Social Contribution Records:


   Submit proof of the applicant's social contributions in China, if applicable.


Forms and Documents for Online Submission to Remoly


The following forms and documents must be submitted online or shared directly with our team:


1. Application Form ID 990A:


Complete the "Entry for Employment as Professionals in Hong Kong" form.

Affix the applicant's recent photograph on page 2.


2. Valid Travel Document Copies:


Photocopy the page showing personal details, date of issue, date of expiry, and any re-entry visa (if applicable).

If the applicant is currently in the HKSAR, include a photocopy of:

   The latest arrival stamp or landing slip.

   Extension of stay label or issued “e-Visa” (if applicable).

   Mainland Chinese residents should provide a photocopy of their resident identity card if no travel document is available.


3. Hong Kong Identity Card (HKID):


Include a photocopy of the HKID or temporary identity card, if applicable.


4. Proof of Academic Qualifications and Work Experience:


Submit copies of degree certificates, professional certifications, and an updated resume (CV).


5. Consent Letter for Mainland Residents:


Mainland residents must provide a consent letter from their current working unit or relevant authorities (Page 8 of Form ID 990A).
