The Ministry of Labor in Taiwan has officially announced an increase in the minimum wage, set to take effect on January 1, 2024. This adjustment aims to enhance the economic well-being of workers and reflects the government’s commitment to improving labor standards across the nation.

2. Hourly Minimum Wage:

   The hourly minimum wage has been set at NT$190, ensuring part-time and temporary workers receive fair compensation for their contributions.

This adjustment is grounded in Article 13, Paragraph 1 of the Minimum Wage Law, which empowers the Ministry of Labor to periodically review and update the minimum wage to reflect current economic conditions.
