Uzbekistan Increases Pensions, Child Benefits and Allowances

Starting from July 1, 2025, Uzbekistan will increase pensions and social allowances by 10%. This change is part of the government’s effort to improve living standards and provide better support for families and vulnerable groups.

New Pension Amounts in Uzbekistan

The updated monthly pension amounts are as follows:

  1. Minimum old-age pension: 918,000 UZS
  2. Disability pension: 1,012,000 UZS

This adjustment will give elderly citizens and people with disabilities more financial security.

Child Benefits for Low-Income Families

Families with children will also benefit from the new changes. The child allowance rates are:

  1. 360,000 UZS per child under 3 years old
  2. 275,000 UZS per child aged 3 to 18
  3. +165,000 UZS for the second child
  4. +110,000 UZS for the third and each additional child

These increases aim to ease the financial burden on low-income families and help cover the cost of raising children.

Monthly Social Assistance

In addition, low-income families will receive 420,000 UZS per month as social assistance. This support is designed to provide basic stability and ensure families can meet their essential needs.

Why This Increase Matters

The rise in pensions and allowances shows the government’s commitment to:

  1. Supporting pensioners and people with disabilities
  2. Reducing financial pressure on low-income households
  3. Strengthening social protection across the country

Final Thoughts

From July 2025, many families and individuals in Uzbekistan will see higher payments in their pensions and allowances. While the increase may not cover all needs, it is a positive step toward improving the quality of life and ensuring stronger social support.
